The evolution towards Bitcoin generation has been considerably shaped by the arrival of Application-Specific Circuitry, or ASICs. Initially, coin generation was possible using CPUs and then GPUs, but as the challenge of the BTC protocol rose, these methods became progressively unprofitable. ASICs are purpose-built hardware built solely for solving
